Welcome!

The Fotobus is an independent project serving all students of photography.

The Fotobus is a cultural, social and academic project serving all students of photography, design, film, art or media. Excursions and research trips to regional, national, and international destinations are offered using the Fotobus — a 32-seat historic coach. All costs such as fuel, tolls, repairs, maintenance, insurance, vehicle taxes, meals, lodging, etc. are covered by donations, supporting memberships and sponsorships. Students who are financially disadvantaged or belong to a social minority are given special support.

The central idea behind our journeys is to contribute to international understanding, peace work, and cultural and academic international exchange. Fotobus Society activities include photographic group projects, exhibitions, publications, workshops, visits to photo festivals, and cooperative projects with partner institutions. Students are enabled to make international professional contacts and gain unique hands-on experience. The Fotobus Society was founded in 2018 and is now the largest student photography network in the world, with over 1,200 members studying at more than 30 different universities worldwide.
